WHERE WE COME FROM
A Venetian story, rooted in Malta
Our story begins in the Veneto - the region that gave the world cicchetti, spritz and a very particular way of spending an evening. We grew up surrounded by the flavours, rhythms and warmth of that culture. When we came to Malta, we brought it with us.
Bacaro Veneziano opened in Birkirkara as a traditional Venetian bacaro - a place for small bites, good wine and good company. That identity remains our core. But we have grown. The kitchen has expanded. The bar has its own personality. Breakfast has become as important as the evening aperitivo. The team today brings new energy - sharper, more dynamic, just as committed to doing things properly.
Venice is our root, not our costume.
We are not a theme restaurant. We are an Italian kitchen and wine bar that takes every moment of the day seriously.

Yes. Dedicated table or full venue hire, set or a la carte menu, welcome drink, bring your own birthday cake or choose one of our delicious Italian desserts.
Do you cater for corporate events?
Yes. Five minutes from most offices in Birkirkara. Seated dinners, aperitivo formats and pre-order office lunch available.
